The short answer

What Is a Custom Clothing Manufacturer?

A custom clothing manufacturer builds garments from your own patterns, fabrics and tech pack instead of printing your logo on someone else’s blank. Jafsu Enterprises works this way: you own the design and the pattern, and we handle fabric sourcing, cutting, stitching, decoration and labelling under one roof in Sialkot, Pakistan.

The distinction decides what you actually own. With decorated blanks you inherit another company’s fit, fabric weight and neck label, so your brand is really a print that any competitor can copy next week. With custom cut and sew production, the drop-shoulder silhouette, the 400 GSM hand-feel and the woven label inside the collar are all yours.

That used to mean committing to 200–500 pieces before you knew whether a design would sell. We start samples at one piece and production at 20 per design across S–XXL, so you can put a real garment in your hands, then in your customers’ hands, without gambling a season’s budget on a guess.

The hard numbers

Fabric, GSM and Order Specifications

Fabric weight is the single biggest quality signal in a garment, and the number most brands guess at. These are the ranges we actually run — match your GSM to your price point rather than ordering blind.

Not a trading company

Every Decoration Process Runs On Our Own Floor

Nothing is brokered out to a third-party print shop. Printing, embroidery, labelling and packing happen in the same building as the cutting and stitching — which is why a colour correction takes a conversation instead of a week.

Sublimation

Full-coverage all-over digital printing on polyester, using Italian anti-fade inks that dye the fibre rather than sit on it.

  • Edge-to-edge panel printing
  • Will not crack or peel
  • Standard for team kits

Screen printing

The workhorse for cotton streetwear runs, with ink systems chosen to match the fabric face and the hand-feel you want.

  • Plastisol
  • Water-based
  • Discharge
  • High-density

Specialty print

Raised, tactile and short-run finishes for drops where the print itself is the product detail.

Embroidery

Stitched branding that reads as premium on brushed fleece and survives wash after wash.

  • 3D puff embroidery
  • Flat tatami fill
  • Chenille patches
  • Woven badges

Private label — your brand on every touchpoint

Every order ships fully branded. Custom woven neck labels, satin wash tags, PVC tags, embossed swing tags and branded polybags, so the garment arrives retail-ready. Your designs, patterns and artwork stay your intellectual property — we do not reuse or resell client work.

From sketch to shipment

How an Order Actually Runs

STEP 01

Quote & mockup

Send a tech pack, reference garment or a sketch with measurements. You get itemised per-piece costing and a digital mockup — not a vague price range.

24–48 hours

STEP 02

One-piece sample

A single sewn piece in your fabric, your fit, your decoration. Check the hand-feel and the measurements before any bulk commitment exists.

1 pc · 7–10 working days

STEP 03

Production

Cutting, stitching, decoration and labelling, with inline and endline inspection on measurements, seam strength and print durability.

14–25 working days by volume

STEP 04

QC photos & dispatch

Final QC photos and video reach you before the balance is due. Then express dispatch with full tracking and customs paperwork handled.

4–6 business days in transit

Payment follows the same logic. Samples are 100% in advance by PayPal, Remitly, Western Union or bank wire. Bulk runs on 50% deposit to cut material and prepare printing, with the 50% balance due before dispatch — against the QC photos and video, so you see the goods before you release the balance.

An honest comparison

Custom Cut & Sew vs Blanks vs Print-on-Demand

Custom manufacturing is not the right answer for every stage of a brand. Here is where each model genuinely wins — including where ours does not.

Print-on-demandDecorated blanksCustom cut & sew
Upfront riskNone — printed per orderLow — small blank packs20 pieces per design

If print-on-demand or blanks are validating your designs right now, keep going — that work is doing its job. Custom manufacturing earns its place at the point where fit, fabric weight and margin start deciding whether customers come back. Our 1-piece sample exists so you can test that moment before you fund it.

Answers up front

Custom Clothing Manufacturing FAQ

What is the minimum order quantity for custom clothing?

Jafsu Enterprises produces samples from a single piece and bulk production from 20 pieces per design and colourway, split across sizes S to XXL. Most custom clothing factories require 200 to 1,000 pieces per design, so a 20-piece run lets a new brand launch a real collection without holding unsold stock.

Can I order just one piece before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Jafsu Enterprises makes single-piece samples so you can check fit, fabric hand-feel and decoration quality before committing to production. A sample takes 7 to 10 working days and is paid 100% in advance. Once you approve it, the same specification carries through to bulk production.

How much does custom clothing manufacturing cost?

Price depends on fabric composition and GSM, fit complexity, decoration method, trims, order quantity and shipping terms. Heavier fabrics use more yarn and cost more per piece, and finishes like 3D puff embroidery add cost. Jafsu Enterprises quotes each build individually, with price breaks at 100, 300, 500 and 1,000+ pieces.

What GSM should I choose for my garment?

Match GSM to the category. T-shirts and light streetwear sit at 180–280 GSM in combed cotton or CVC. Hoodies and joggers run 320–450+ GSM in French terry or three-thread fleece. Performance sportswear uses 140–220 GSM interlock, mesh and micro poly. Gym leggings and bras need 220–300 GSM four-way stretch knits.

How long does production take?

A digital mockup returns within 24 to 48 hours and a sewn sample within 7 to 10 working days. Bulk production runs 14 to 18 working days for 50 to 300 pieces, or 20 to 25 working days for 500 to 1,000+ pieces after sample approval. Door-to-door express shipping adds 4 to 6 business days.

Do I need a tech pack to start production?

No. A tech pack speeds up sampling and reduces revision rounds, but Jafsu Enterprises can work from reference photographs, a physical sample garment, or a sketch with measurements. The full specification — measurements, GSM, trims and decoration placements — is confirmed with you in writing before any fabric is cut.

Is printing and embroidery done in-house or outsourced?

Everything runs in-house at Jafsu Enterprises. Sublimation, screen printing, DTF, 3D puff, silicone transfer, embroidery, chenille patches, woven labels and packing all happen in the same facility as cutting and stitching, with no third-party print shops involved. That keeps quality control and colour correction inside one team.

Can you manufacture under my own private label?

Yes. Every order is full private label: custom woven neck labels, satin wash tags, PVC tags, embossed swing tags and branded polybags, so garments arrive retail-ready. Your designs, patterns and artwork remain your intellectual property, and Jafsu Enterprises does not reuse or resell client designs.

Where is the factory and which countries do you ship to?

Jafsu Enterprises manufactures in Tibba Jalian, Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan, within the Small Industrial Estate and Sambrial Road manufacturing cluster. Finished orders ship to the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Europe and Australia by DHL, FedEx and UPS express, with air cargo and sea freight available for larger runs.

What are the payment terms?

Samples are 100% in advance via PayPal, Remitly, Western Union or direct bank wire. Bulk orders run on a 50% deposit to cover material cutting and print preparation, with the remaining 50% due before dispatch — released against final QC photographs and video, so you inspect the goods before paying the balance.
