Screen Printing Services That Still Match on the Reprint
Jafsu Enterprises runs screen printing services in-house, on garments we cut and sew ourselves — plastisol, water-based, discharge, puff and high-density, printed to a written ink and mesh spec, not a screenshot. Samples start at one piece, the screen printing minimum order is 20, and bulk screen printing runs past 1,000 with price breaks on the way.

What Do Screen Printing Services Actually Cover?
Screen printing services separate your artwork into one screen per colour, expose those screens onto mesh, then push ink through them onto the garment one colour at a time and cure it with heat. Done properly, that is the thickest, most opaque and longest-wearing print available on apparel — which is why custom screen printed t-shirts outlast every digital alternative on a wash count. Our durability guide compares which t-shirt printing lasts the longest.
We print from a single sample piece and a 20-piece minimum, on blanks we make ourselves or garments you send in. Because the press floor sits beside cutting and stitching, custom apparel screen printing here is not a subcontracted step: one spec covers fabric and ink, one inspection covers both.

The hard part is never the first print. It is the reprint six weeks later, when the same file comes back a shade off, half an inch lower, or stiff enough to crack after five washes — which is what happens when a job is quoted from a picture rather than a spec sheet. Ink system, mesh count, Pantone code, print size and cure temperature are the lines to get in writing first.
Custom Apparel Screen Printing, Ink by Ink
Six print builds cover almost every job that leaves the floor, from a flat two-colour chest hit to a raised, layered front.

Custom screen printed t-shirts
Chest, full-front, back and sleeve hits on 180–280 GSM combed cotton and CVC jersey. On darks a white underbase is flash-cured first, so top colours read at full strength instead of sinking grey. Printed on our own t-shirt production or your blanks.

Screen printed hoodies & sweatshirts
Brushed pile lifts under the squeegee, so screen printed hoodies and sweatshirts need a coarser mesh, a heavier deposit and often a smoothing underbase. Pairs with our hoodie manufacturing.

Plastisol ink printing
Our default system. Plastisol ink printing sits on top of the fibres rather than soaking in, which makes it opaque on black, bright in fluorescents and dependable on Pantone. It needs a full cure near 160 °C to fuse.

Water-based & discharge
Water-based ink dyes into the cotton instead of layering on it, so the graphic feels like almost nothing. Discharge goes further: it lifts the garment dye and drops pigment into that space, for the soft, faded look vintage-leaning labels ask for.

Puff, high-density & specialty
Puff additive expands under the dryer for a soft raised edge; high-density stacks ink through thick emulsion for a sharp wall you can catch with a fingernail. Metallic, glitter, foil and suede run on the same presses.

Custom merchandise screen printing
Event, gym, club and campaign runs where one artwork sits across tees, hoodies, shorts, totes and aprons — each with its own mesh and placement note, so the logo reads the same size to the eye.
Six Lines That Decide Whether Your Reprint Matches
Send these to every printer you shortlist. The ones worth working with answer in numbers; the rest answer with adjectives.
- Ink system, named. Plastisol, water-based, discharge or a specialty additive — each has a different hand feel, opacity and wash life, so a quiet swap changes the garment.
- Colour count and Pantone codes. One screen per colour, so the count drives setup and price. A PMS code settles it; “brand red” does not survive a second run.
- Mesh count per colour. Coarse mesh lays down more ink for opacity; fine mesh holds detail and halftones. The most-skipped line on a quote.
- Print size and placement from the HPS. Width, height and the drop from the high point of shoulder, plus size-by-size scaling where artwork should not stay one size S through XXL.
- Cure confirmation. Plastisol must reach fusion temperature through the whole ink film, not merely feel dry — under-cured prints pass inspection and crack on the third wash.
- Setup charges, and where they stop. Cost per colour, and whether screens are archived for reorders — plus the exact woven label and swing tag going in with the print.
A printer working from this sheet can cost the job in 24–48 hours, and the strike-off you approve becomes the standard bulk is measured against.

The spec travels with the order
Artwork, separations, exposure, printing, curing, labelling and packing happen in one building — OEM / ODM production with nothing brokered out. Your files and screens stay yours, and inspection checks what was written at quoting.
Ink Systems, Quantities and Lead Times
Most screen printing services online never publish this, which is why quotes are hard to compare. Here is what we work to.
| Ink system | Hand feel | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Plastisol | Surface film | Dark garments, fluorescents, exact PMS matching |
| Water-based | Close to nothing | Light garments, breathable prints, large solids |
| Discharge | Dyed in, no film | 100% cotton darks, vintage and washed looks |
| Puff | Raised, soft edge | Logos and type needing lift without weight |
| High-density | Raised, sharp wall | Hero graphics, monograms, hoodie chest hits |
| Metallic, glitter, foil | Reflective, textured | Limited drops and merch capsules |
| Stage | What happens | Quantity / time |
|---|---|---|
| Artwork & costing | Separations checked, mockup and itemised quote | 24–48 hrs |
| Strike-off sample | One printed piece for colour and placement sign-off | 1 pc · 5–7 days |
| First run | One design and colourway, S–XXL | 20–50 pcs · 7–10 days |
| Bulk 50–300 pcs | Inline registration and cure checks | 10–14 working days |
| Bulk 500–1,000+ | Price breaks at 100 / 300 / 500 / 1,000+ | 15–20 working days |

Mesh selector: what that thread count does to your print
Mesh is counted in threads per inch and decides how much ink reaches the garment. Drag to see what each band is used for.
How a Print Job Runs Through the Factory
Every order takes the same five stages, at 20 pieces or 2,000.
-
Artwork and separation
Send vector files, a layered raster at 300 dpi, or a photo of the garment. We separate it colour by colour, flag anything too fine to hold, and return a mockup with per-piece costing.
-
Spec lock and screen exposure
Ink system, PMS codes, mesh per colour, print size and placement confirmed in writing, then emulsion coated, exposed and washed out. Changes here cost nothing; mid-run they cost screens.
-
One-piece strike-off
One printed garment in your ink, colour and placement. Stretch it, wash it, photograph it under your own lighting. Nothing moves to bulk until it is approved.
-
Production print
Registration set, first-off checked against the strike-off, then the run prints with flash and cure monitored throughout — alongside embroidery or other decoration where a design needs both.
-
QC and dispatch
Wash and rub checks on pulled pieces, QC photos and video before the balance falls due, then express dispatch with paperwork handled here.
Four Kinds of Buyer, One Print Floor
The brief changes every week; the presses, the inks and the written spec do not.
E-commerce and DTC labels
Drop cycles, not seasons. A low MOQ of 20 per design lets you shoot, list and sell a graphic before committing a thousand units.
Sellers moving off print on demand
Once a design repeats, the per-unit maths flips: screen printing costs more to set up and far less per piece — and you stop inheriting someone else’s blank.
Wholesale and bulk buyers
Distributors and uniform suppliers ordering repeat volume, with bulk screen printing price breaks at 100, 300, 500 and 1,000+ against archived screens.
Agencies, gyms, clubs and events
Custom merchandise screen printing across a kit list, alongside our fitnesswear and streetwear manufacturing.
Screen Printing Services FAQ
What is your screen printing minimum order?
One piece for a strike-off sample, and 20 pieces per design and colourway for production, split across S to XXL. Most bulk screen printing suppliers start at 100 to 500, so a low MOQ of 20 lets a new label test a graphic before funding stock it has not sold — then scale the same artwork into a 1,000-piece run on the same screens.
Plastisol or water-based — which should I choose?
Plastisol ink printing is the safer default: opaque on darks, accurate on Pantone, durable through heavy washing. Water-based and discharge inks sit in the fibre rather than on it, so they feel softer and suit vintage-look drops, but they are less opaque and more sensitive to fabric blend.
How many colours can you print?
Up to eight per placement, plus an underbase on darks. Every colour is its own screen, so the count drives setup cost and print time. Simulated-process and halftone separations hold photographic artwork inside a smaller colour count.
Will a screen print crack or peel in the wash?
A correctly cured print should not. Cracking is almost always an under-cure: the ink film never reached fusion temperature all the way through, so it stayed brittle. We check cure with temperature readings and wash-test pulled pieces from every run.
How much do screen setup charges add?
Screens and separations are charged per colour, once per design. On 20 pieces that setup is the largest part of the unit price; by 300 it is close to invisible, which is why per-piece cost falls sharply with volume. We archive screens, so a reorder skips the charge.
Can you match a specific Pantone colour?
Yes. Send the PMS code, we mix to it in plastisol and confirm it on the strike-off before bulk. The same ink reads differently over an underbase than on white cotton, and differently again on fleece — so we match on your garment, not on paper.
Do you print on garments you manufacture, or can I send blanks?
Both. As an OEM / ODM factory we cut, sew and print in one building, keeping fabric and ink under one spec. If you already have blanks, send them in and we print to your sheet — though inbound transit adds time, and we cannot warrant fabric we did not source.
How do I order screen printing services online from overseas?
Send artwork and quantities by email or WhatsApp; a mockup and itemised quote come back within 24 to 48 hours. Samples are paid in advance, bulk on a 50% deposit with the balance due against QC photos. Orders ship door to door to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Australia in 4 to 6 business days.
Send the Artwork. Get One Printed Piece Back.
