The short answer

What does a custom Muay Thai shorts manufacturer actually do?

A custom Muay Thai shorts manufacturer cuts and sews fight shorts to your own pattern, fabric and branding rather than printing onto stock blanks. Jafsu Enterprises builds satin and performance-poly shorts from 1-piece samples and 20-piece runs, with decoration, labelling and packing done in-house in Sialkot.

Key takeaways

  • Samples from 1 piece in 7–10 working days; production from 20 pieces per design and colourway.
  • Sizes graded YS–YXL youth and S–4XL adult.
  • Sublimation, embroidery, screen print and transfers all run in-house.
  • Bulk 14–18 working days at 50–300 pieces, then 4–6 days door to door.
  • Price breaks at 100, 300, 500 and 1,000+ pieces.
Fabric and weight

What fabric and weight do Muay Thai shorts use?

Two families cover almost every order: woven polyester satin for the ring look, and knitted performance poly for sublimated team kits. The build decides which decoration methods are open to you, so settle it first.

Muay Thai shorts builds and the weight bands they sit in
Build Typical composition Weight Best suited to
Sublimated performance Micro poly, interlock, birdseye mesh, poly-spandex panels 140–220 GSM Edge-to-edge artwork, team kits, humid halls
Woven shell hybrid Poly taslan or nylon shell, knit side inserts 120–160 GSM reference Lighter training and shorter-leg cuts
Traditional satin 100% polyester satin, contrast panels, woven elastic Quoted per mill lot Ring styling, embroidery and satin patchwork

The 140–220 GSM band is our published range for performance knits. The 120–160 GSM woven figure is an industry reference, not a promise on your order. Satin is bought per mill lot and quoted on your costing sheet.

Shrinkage decides whether a 20-piece run still fits after twelve washes. Dimensional change is measured under AATCC Test Method 135, which fixes the wash and drying cycle and reports change in length and width.

Worth knowing, because the trade states it loosely: AATCC 135 sets no maximum allowable shrinkage. It is a measurement method, not a pass mark — the tolerance is agreed between buyer and factory.

Cuts and styles

Which Muay Thai shorts cut should you order?

All four grade YS–YXL youth and S–4XL adult, and each counts as its own design for the 20-piece minimum.

Custom Muay Thai shorts manufacturer flat-lay of satin fight shorts with contrast waistband

Traditional wide leg

Satin body, high side slit, woven elastic waistband and a contrast front panel for script or a gym name.

Embroidery and appliqué

Retro high waist

Deeper waistband, shorter leg, more panel seams. The cut fight-wear labels reach for when the shorts should read as heritage rather than gym kit.

Satin or poly

Sublimated performance

Knitted poly with artwork printed into the fibre before cutting. Nothing sits on the surface to crack, and the design runs edge to edge across every panel.

140–220 GSM

Youth and academy

Scaled proportions and softer waistband elastic for junior programmes. Graded YS–YXL, costed separately from the adult run.

Competition spec

What do competition rules say about Muay Thai shorts?

Most suppliers leave this to the buyer, and it changes what you should order.

Amateur rulebooks are specific about dress. The World Muay Thai Federation requires shorts of mid-thigh length in red or blue according to the athlete’s corner, and caps the country or sponsor emblem at 100 centimetres. Other bodies word it differently — some also prohibit a side split that exposes underwear — but the pattern holds.

  • Two colourways, not one. A gym fielding competitors needs a red set and a blue set — a 40-piece order.
  • Keep the branding inside the cap. Scaling artwork at mockup stage beats re-cutting panels later.
  • Split height is a spec, not a style. Give us the leg length and slit height and we cut to it.

We build to the spec you give us — we do not certify a garment as competition-legal. Bodies differ, promoters add conditions, rules are revised. Check your current rulebook and send us the measurements it requires before sampling.

Branding

How do you get a gym logo onto Muay Thai shorts?

Every method below runs in our own building, which is why a 20-piece run does not queue behind an outside decorator.

Sublimation

Dye pressed into polyester fibre, so artwork cannot crack or peel. Needs a poly base — natural fibres will not take it.

Sublimation printing

Embroidery

The traditional satin finish: flat stitch, 3D puff or chenille on waistband and leg panels. Best for names, script and crests.

Custom embroidery

Print and transfer

Plastisol, water-based, discharge and high-density screen print, plus DTF, silicone transfer and rhinestone for sponsor marks.

Screen printing

Private label goes further than the logo on the leg. Woven labels, wash tags, PVC tags, swing tags and branded polybags are made to your artwork, so the shorts arrive shelf-ready with nothing of ours on them. Client artwork is never reused or resold.

  • Labels and tags. Woven labels and hang tags are costed with the garment, not billed separately.
  • Pattern work. Send a tech pack or a pair you like and our cut and sew team drafts the block from it.

Why order Muay Thai shorts from Sialkot?

Pakistan’s textile exports reached $17.93 billion in FY2025-26, of which readymade garments took $4.288 billion and knitwear $4.966 billion. Sialkot sits inside that base as the sports and fight-wear cluster, which is why the fabric, elastic, labels and trims a shorts order needs are a short drive away rather than a shipping lane.

Ten years of cut and sew

10+ years of OEM and ODM production as a factory, not a trading company — whoever quotes your order also schedules it.

Five markets, one lane

Regular shipments to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Australia, door to door in 4–6 business days, or air and sea freight on larger programmes.

The honest limit

When are we the wrong Muay Thai shorts supplier?

Four cases where something else serves you better.

One pair for one fighter

We will cut a single sample, but courier on one pair costs more than the shorts. Buy retail instead.

10,000-piece federation runs

At that volume a large mill beats our unit price and our 20–25 day window. Our range is startup through mid-volume.

A “made in Thailand” story

Our shorts are made in Sialkot. If Thai manufacture is your brand’s point, no spec sheet fixes that.

A deadline inside two weeks

Mockup, sample and bulk run about five weeks. For a fight card next Saturday, a local decorator printing blanks is faster.

Questions buyers ask

Custom Muay Thai shorts: frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom Muay Thai shorts?

Production starts at 20 pieces per colourway. A red set and a blue set count as two, so a corner-compliant gym order starts at 40 pieces.

Can I order one sample pair first?

Yes. Sample MOQ is 1 piece in 7–10 working days against 100% advance, cut with the same fabric and decoration as the bulk run.

Can I mix sizes within one order?

Yes. The 20-piece minimum applies to the colourway, not to each size, so you can split those 20 pieces across the size curve.

What sizes do you make?

YS to YXL in youth and S to 4XL in adult. Youth and adult are costed as separate designs because they are separate patterns.

How long does a bulk order take?

14 to 18 working days for 50 to 300 pieces, and 20 to 25 for 500 to 1,000 or more, counted from sample approval rather than first enquiry.

Do you embroider or print the logo?

Both, in-house. Embroidery, 3D puff and chenille suit satin; sublimation suits poly knits. Screen print, DTF, silicone transfer and rhinestone are also available.

Can you match a specific colour?

Send Pantone references with your artwork and we match at sampling. Approving colour on the physical sample, not on screen, is the only reliable sign-off.

Do you make matching kickboxing and MMA shorts?

Yes. Kickboxing trunks, MMA shorts, rash guards and walkout apparel run on the same floor, so one order can cover several garment types.

What does private label include?

Woven labels, satin wash tags, PVC tags, swing tags and branded polybags, all to your artwork. Nothing of ours appears on the garment.

How do you ship and how long does it take?

DHL, FedEx or UPS door to door in 4 to 6 business days to the UK, USA, Canada, Europe and Australia. Air and sea freight on larger programmes.

What are the payment terms?

Samples are 100% in advance. Bulk orders are 50% deposit and 50% before dispatch, released against QC photos and video.
