Tank Top Manufacturer with a 20-Piece MOQ and Full OEM/ODM

Every tank top is cut and sewn to your own pattern, fabric weight and neck label — stringers, ribbed bodies, oversized drop-armhole streetwear, performance mesh. Samples start at 1 piece and bulk at 20, so you can customize tank top styles, prove a design, then scale. Private label tank top trims finished in-house.

The short answer

What Does a Tank Top Manufacturer Actually Do?

A tank top manufacturer cuts and sews sleeveless bodies from your own pattern and fabric, then prints, embroiders, labels and packs them under your brand. Jafsu Enterprises does this in Sialkot, Pakistan from a 1-piece sample and a 20-piece run, shipping to the UK, USA, Canada, EU and Australia.

A blanks wholesaler sells stock by the carton; print on demand decorates someone else’s garment. Neither gives you your own armhole, fabric weight or neck label — which is where cut and sew starts.

Key takeaways

  • Tank tops run 140–300 GSM; weight decides whether the body drapes or holds its shape.
  • Armhole depth and strap width, per size, separate a stringer from a gym vest from a streetwear body.
  • OEM builds to your tech pack; ODM drafts the block. Price breaks at 100 / 300 / 500 / 1,000+.

What we cut and sew

Which Tank Top Style Should You Make?

Six bodies cover almost every range that leaves the floor. Pick by what the garment has to do, then set the weight — those 2 choices decide the cost.

Custom racerback training tank top in charcoal heather jersey, laid flat

Gym stringers

Narrow straps, deep scooped armholes, tapered back. Strap width and armhole depth are patterned per size — grading a small stringer upward gives a vest that gapes.

Performance band 140–220 GSM
Oversized drop-armhole tank top in heavyweight off-white cotton jersey, folded flat

Oversized drop-armhole

Wide shoulders, low armhole, boxy chest, square hem. Heavier jersey holds that shape; light cloth collapses.

Streetwear band 180–280 GSM
Ribbed cotton-elastane tank top showing self-fabric binding at the neckline and armhole

Ribbed tanks

2×2 and 4×4 cotton-elastane rib, self-fabric binding at neck and armhole. Rib recovers to the body rather than hanging off it, so the elastane percentage belongs in the spec.

Binding, coverstitched or contrast
Navy performance tank top with a mesh back panel and flatlock seams

Performance and mesh

Interlock, birdseye mesh, micro poly and poly-spandex, mesh backs, flatlock seams. Sublimation runs edge to edge on poly.

Performance band 140–220 GSM
Women's cropped racerback tank top in sage cotton-elastane, laid flat

Women’s crop and racerback

Cropped bodies, racerbacks, scoop and square necks on a women’s block. Crop length is set from the high point of the shoulder, so every size crops at the same point.

What GSM Should a Tank Top Be?

Between 140 and 300 GSM, by build — in both units, because GSM and ounces describe the same cloth. Conversion factor 33.906.

These 3 bands are our own published spec. One fabric supplier’s activewear guide puts tops at 120–170 GSM and calls 180–250 GSM the middle ground — market reference, not a Jafsu range.

The two numbers nobody publishes

Which Measurements Decide Whether a Tank Top Fits?

Armhole depth and strap width, from the high point of the shoulder, per size. A tank has no sleeve to hide a bad armhole and no collar to carry the shape, so these 2 figures do more work than the fabric.

  • Armhole depth, per size. Decides whether a body reads as a stringer, a gym vest or an oversized tank. Graded, not scaled.
  • Strap width at the shoulder. A few millimetres changes the garment, and narrow straps need a stable neckline.
  • Neck drop and length from the HPS. Measuring from the hem is how crop tops drift longer.
  • Armhole and neck finish. Self-fabric binding, coverstitched or contrast — plus a written tolerance on each measured point.
  • Trims, named. Ink system, print placement, stitch count, and the exact woven label and swing tag.

Send that sheet and a quote comes back in 24–48 hours costed against it, not a photograph.

How much will a cotton tank shrink?

Shrinkage is measured under AATCC Test Method 135, Dimensional Changes of Fabrics after Home Laundering, which sets wash, agitation and drying combinations and reports change in length and width.

Worth being precise: AATCC 135 is a measurement procedure, not a pass mark. It sets no maximum — the tolerance is agreed between buyer and factory. “Pre-shrunk” alone means nothing; a number in your spec does.

Two ways to start

What Is the Difference Between OEM and ODM Tank Top Production?

OEM builds to your tech pack. ODM develops the garment and hands the pattern over. Both run on the same line, from the same 20-piece minimum.

OEM — you own the spec

You send the pattern, measurements, fabric, tolerances and trims; nothing changes without written approval, and the 6 points above are the contract. Suits repeat programmes where drop 2 must match drop 1.

ODM — we develop it with you

Arrive with a reference garment, a sketch or a fit brief. We draft the block, propose fabric and finishes, sample it, and hand the pattern back. Your artwork stays yours.

What a 20-piece minimum buys you

Sizes mix freely inside one design and colourway, so a 20-piece run covers YS–YXL or S–4XL. A second colourway is a second minimum — separate dye lot, separate cut. That is the point of a low MOQ: sell a drop before the next is cut, rather than funding unsold stock.

Pakistan exported $17.93 billion of textiles in FY2025-26, knitwear $4.97 billion of it — context for the sourcing base, not a claim about this factory.

Where we are not the answer

When Should You Not Use Us for Tank Tops?

Three situations where another route serves you better.

The design is unproven

If you are testing whether a graphic sells, print on demand carries no inventory risk. Per piece it is the dearest model, but on an unproven design that is the cheaper mistake.

You need it inside two weeks

Sampling alone is 7–10 working days and bulk starts at 14. If 4 days is the window, a local decorator printing blanks beats any overseas factory — this one included.

You are running 10,000+ on one spec

At that volume a dedicated mill prices below a factory built around 20 to 1,000 pieces. Our line changes over often, and that is what you pay for.

Answers up front

Custom Tank Top FAQ

What is the minimum order for custom tank tops?

One piece for a sewn sample, 20 pieces per design and colourway for production. Sampling is 7 to 10 working days; bulk is 14 to 18 working days for 50 to 300 pieces.

Can I mix sizes, colours and styles in one order?

Sizes mix freely within one design and colourway, YS to YXL youth and S to 4XL adult. A different colour or style is a separate 20-piece minimum — separate dye lot, separate cut.

What is the difference between OEM and ODM tank top production?

OEM builds to your tech pack: your pattern, fabric, trims and tolerances, nothing changed without written approval. ODM means we draft the block, propose fabric and finishes, sample it, and hand the pattern back.

Do you produce private label tank tops under my own brand?

That is the default. Woven neck labels, satin wash tags, PVC tags, embossed swing tags and branded polybags are made to your artwork. Client artwork and patterns are never reused or resold.

What GSM should a tank top be?

Our performance band runs 140 to 220 GSM for training tanks and stringers, the streetwear band 180 to 280 GSM for oversized drop-armhole bodies, and four-way stretch gym builds 220 to 300 GSM.

How much will my tank tops shrink?

Shrinkage is measured under AATCC Test Method 135. The method sets out how to measure, not how much is acceptable — the tolerance is agreed between you and the factory, before sampling.

How do I choose a tank top manufacturer in Sialkot?

Ask every shortlisted factory the same questions: GSM and oz/yd², armhole depth and strap width per size, finish type, tolerances and trims. The ones worth working with answer in figures.

Do you ship to the USA, UK and Europe?

Yes. We ship door to door from Sialkot to the USA, UK, Canada, Europe and Australia by DHL, FedEx and UPS, usually 4 to 6 business days. Air and sea freight are available on bulk.
