The short answer

What Do Custom Embroidery Services Include?

Custom embroidery services turn your logo into a stitch file, then sew it onto garments with thread instead of ink. A complete service covers digitizing, thread and backing choice, a stitched sample and bulk production, shipped from Sialkot to the UK, USA, Canada, the EU and Australia.

What separates a decorator from a custom apparel embroidery manufacturer is the garment. A decorator stitches onto a blank bought elsewhere; we cut and sew the hoodie, polo or jacket as well, so fabric, fit and logo placement are specified together — on an OEM brief from your tech pack, or an ODM brief developed from your references.

Artwork to thread — every design is digitized before it is stitched

Embroidery rarely fails on the first order. It fails on the reorder, when the thread shade drifts or the stitch file was rebuilt — so your file, thread codes and placements stay on record.

What we stitch

Embroidery Techniques, From Stitch File to Neck Label

Four stitch techniques, chosen by artwork size, detail and fabric, with digitizing and private label finishing holding them together.

Flat embroidery services result: small CUSTOM DESIGN logos stitched flat on a white tee, black zip jacket and joggers

Flat Embroidery Services

The standard for left-chest logos, sleeve hits and fine lettering. Fill and satin stitches lie flush with the fabric, so our flat embroidery services suit polos and tees. Text stays sharp down to about 6 mm (¼ in).

3D Puff Embroidery

Satin stitches over foam lift the design off the garment. 3D puff embroidery needs bold letterforms; thin strokes flatten out. For a raised print instead of thread, see puff printing.

Best for bold marks · caps and heavy fleece
Applique embroidery close-up: cream twill CUSTOM DESIGN letters with navy satin borders on grey marl fleece

Applique Embroidery

A shaped fabric piece — twill, felt or fleece — is stitched down with a satin border. Applique embroidery covers large areas with far fewer stitches, keeping back designs soft.

Best for large designs · jackets, sweatshirts
Custom embroidered patches reading CUSTOM DESIGN with merrowed edges, laid out on a workbench

Custom Embroidered Patches

Stitched on a twill base with a merrowed or heat-cut edge, then finished sew-on, iron-on or hook-and-loop. Custom embroidered patches move one design across caps, bags and outerwear.

Embroidery digitizing services: CUSTOM DESIGN artwork shown as stitch paths on a monitor beside a thread rack

Embroidery Digitizing Services

Digitizing converts artwork into stitch paths, densities and underlay a machine can read. Our embroidery digitizing services build it for your fabric and keep it for reorders.

How Our Custom Embroidery Services Run

Five stages, for 20 pieces or 2,000.

One embroidered garment in your fabric and thread. Nothing goes to bulk until you approve it.

    1 pc · 7–10 working days

Durable Custom Embroidery for Clothing Brands

Embroidery outlasts most decoration when these six lines are written down. Ask any supplier of custom embroidery services for them.

  • Thread fibre and colour codes. Polyester holds colour through hot washes and bleach; rayon has more sheen but fades sooner.
  • Backing matched to fabric. Cutaway for knits such as fleece, jersey and pique, which stretch; tearaway for stable wovens and caps.
  • Stitch count and density. Too dense turns stiff; too light shows fabric. The count belongs on the quote.
  • Size and placement from the HPS. Width, height and distance from the high point shoulder.
  • Minimum detail. Lettering around 6 mm (¼ in) tall for flat work; bolder, wider strokes for 3D puff.
  • A washed sample. Washed and dried before approval, then checked for puckering, thread breaks and colour.

A written spec, a stored stitch file and an approved sample make reorders match.

The stitch file stays on record

Nothing is brokered out. Placements checked at inspection are the ones written at quoting, and your artwork and stitch files stay yours.

Embroidery vs Screen Printing for Apparel

Embroidery wins on texture and lifespan for logos; screen printing wins on large, detailed artwork. Our screen printing runs in the same building.

Custom Embroidery Services FAQ

What is the minimum order for custom embroidery?

Samples start at one piece and production at 20 pieces per design and colourway, split across sizes. A 20-piece run lets a new label test a design before committing to bulk.

Is embroidery or screen printing better for my apparel?

Embroidery suits logos, lettering and premium pieces such as hoodies, polos, caps and jackets, and lasts the life of the garment. Screen printing suits large, detailed graphics on tees; many brands use both.

What is 3D puff embroidery?

3D puff embroidery sews satin stitches over a foam layer so the design stands raised off the fabric. It works best on cap fronts and heavy fleece with bold letterforms.

Do you offer embroidery digitizing services?

Yes. Every design is digitized in-house before sampling, and the stitch file is kept on record for reorders.

Can you make custom embroidered patches?

Yes. Patches are stitched on a twill base with a merrowed or heat-cut edge and finished sew-on, iron-on or hook-and-loop.

Do you offer private label and OEM/ODM embroidery?

Yes. OEM orders are built to your tech pack and artwork; ODM orders start from your references. Private label embroidery finishes every piece with your woven label and swing tag, with no Jafsu branding.

How long does custom embroidery take?

Mockup and costing take 24–48 hours, a stitched sample 7–10 working days, and bulk 14–18 working days for 50–300 pieces or 20–25 for 500–1,000+. Express courier then takes 4–6 business days.

Do you ship embroidered apparel to the USA and UK?

Yes. We ship door to door to the USA, UK, Canada, Europe and Australia by DHL, FedEx and UPS. Bulk takes a 50% deposit, with the balance due before dispatch.
